1. Members with no uploaded songs

Visitors who wish to become members (or also described as users) can do it for free and need to provide some personal information as found in the proper forms of the website. Among the necessary information is a valid (fully working) e-mail address and a name, which will be a pseudonym (if provided) or the first and last name. If you decide to make contact with songwriters through our “member message” system, the contacted songwriter will may be able to verify your name and which song of his (hers) you were accessing by the time you wrote the message. E-mail addresses of both members will not be revealed to one another by during this process, unless, of course, if they voluntarily type such information when contacting each other. Other members will have access to your name (or pseudonym if you provided one), the State and Country you are from, and your photo (if uploaded).

2. Members with uploaded songs

For those members all that apply for the members with no uploaded songs also apply to them, and, in addition, they need to provide information about each song they submit to All the information about these songs (not the song itself or any lyrics) will be displayed on the website to the access of any visitors. That means any visitor (even if not a member) will be able to see only: Your name, song title, style/ variation, performer, song # and date posted. Visitors will not have access to download your song, neither to view its lyrics and will only be able to listen to the first 15 seconds of the sound file, approximately. Members will be able to view the same information, and will be able to listen to the entire song and view its lyrics (if available). Members will be able to download and read lyrics of your song only if you defined so, either in the moment you submitted it to or at a later time browsing through your preferences on your private songwriter area. Members (not visitors) will also be able to contact you, as explained earlier.

3. Electronic newsletters policy

We may offer a free electronic newsletter to users. gathers the email addresses of users who voluntarily become members. If electronic newsletters are offered, users may remove themselves from this mailing list by following the information (or link) provided in every newsletter issued. Users may also be given the opportunity to choose if they want to subscribe to the newsletters at the time of registration.

4. "E-mail this to…" policy

Our site users may have the option to electronically forward a link, page, or documents to someone else. The user will automatically provide his e-mail address to the recipient, as well as that of the recipient for our system to proceed with the forwarding. The user will be automatically providing his e-mail address so the recipient knows who sent the e-mail and is able to answer to that. The information is not used for any other purpose.

5. Polling

We may offer interactive polls to users and visitors so they can easily share their opinions with others and see what our audience thinks about important issues. Privacy of Others

When submitting songs to you are required to indicate if you are the only author of that song or if there are any co-author(s). If there is any number of co-authors you must be aware that you need their consent to this Privacy Policy before submitting the song and their information. You are, therefore, the only person responsible for submitting co-authors names, and other information, for any controversy that may arise from that act or omission. In the same way, you can add information you type, and in case such information reveals names and information of others, you need their authorization as well.

Correcting and Updating Personal Information provides a way for members to correct or update their personal information whenever necessary by logging in and accessing the “Personal Data” section on the website. Every time you upload a song to the website you need to first make sure it is correct and updated.

Removing Personal Information, Songs and Content provides an automatic way for you to remove any of the songs you uploaded from being displayed on the website. Although you can do it at any time you must consider it may take some time for our system to process your request and update our website. If it takes too long (like an hour for example) please verify your browser’s configuration or allow us to overcome any eventual technical difficulty.

If you wish to completely remove all your personal data, and all the information about your submitted songs from our database all at once, you can do such request by terminating your membership by sending a message to Further information will be provided for you to complete your membership termination. Please be aware that may need to retain some data you requested removed in conformity to law, resolving disputes, troubleshoot problems and to enforce the agreement. Also please be aware that such requests are not automatically performed, either by the reasons just explained above and also by system backups, so your information is never instantaneously deleted.
